Quince Honey Farm in South Molton is relocating the whole business and expanding all areas of the attraction. As a talented chef you will work as a team to deliver top quality dishes to our visitors. Leadership skills are essential for this role. You should also have excellent Communication skills as this is paramount in this often high volume, fast paced environment. You will be responsible for cooking and keeping up with our customers’ needs and being at the heart of the action with the team working as one.
The successful candidate will ensure sufficient preparation for service, make sure all food is presented to a high standard, with the ability to keep a cool head under pressure. You should be able to prioritise effectively, be personable, and able to motivate your team with excellent communication skills.
Key tasks include:
Prepare and cook a variety of meals.
To understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, SFBB, Health and Safety, COSHH, Environmental Health, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment
Monitor and maintain cleaning schedules that meet the requirements of the Food Safety Manual, and ensure that all areas of the kitchen are immaculately clean
Previous experience of catering for a minimum of 2 years
Current food hygiene certificate
COSHH Training and understanding of HACCP
Excellent communication skills, approachable and able to integrate with others
Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise workloads
Leadership and passion to motivate
